I have been thinking about doing online school and was wondering if any of you had any experience with it or have any info on it?

I am about to graduate for University of Phoenix online. The drawbacks are that it is three times the cost of tuition of a traditional university and the pace is fast!! % week courses and you are writing at least 2 papers every week! You also have to be able to read 3 or 4 chapters from a text in a week. So if you can not dedicate the time and you do not have good reading comprehension skills as well as the dedication to stick with it you will get lost and left behind quick.

Advatages are I can sit and do my work and wear whatever I want and do my work in the morning, night, or whenever.

I'm currently taking 4/5 of my classes online for my college right now.It really depends where you go and who the teachers are. Some of them are hard, some of them you wonder if the teacher knows that the class exists.

They're really easy to score good grades in and not learn a single thing. You have to be dedicated to them and not procrastinate or you will screw yourself over.

Remember they aren't really an easy way out. Lots of homework since it's all homework.

I didn't know you could attend high school online. If there is a program I am sure that you would be able to take a look at what is required. Sample class, and work ect. I would say it depends on the type of learner you are. For me online is great as I have great reading comprhesion skills and am also a fast reader. I typically need very little instruction from others to understand what is required of me. Also I can dedicate myself to acomplishing my task. If you get easily distracted and go play games instead of doing your work then I would say it would be a bad move.

I hate regular school because I have to listen to the teachers try and explain things, I prefer to read things and do it on my own. And as long as I can listen to music I wouldn't have a problem with sitting down and doing it. And since the place gives me a laptop to use I can stay on here all day and its going to be helpful with some video games with walk throughs and stuff. Is there anything that you don't really like about it?

I love it! But it fits my personality and style of learning. Everyone is diferent so If I was you I would take a look at the program and see if it will fit for you and make a decision based on if you think it will work for you.

I learn best by reading, I have an amazing memory when I read things so I think it will be a pretty good choice. I was if wondering if it takes a lot of time out of your day? Cause I don't want to sit and do work for like 5 hours straight on the computer. I'm guessing that you can get it done a lot quicker because you don't have to sit in a class and listen to a teacher.

It costs a lot of money doing highschool online for mine alone it will cost 5k+ if you get into a good one, then there is a huge issue with isolation and having no friends. It takes a certain type of person to be able to go an entire year with very little friends and socialization I myself would not recommend it.

If it is not run by the state do not do it because then you will not get any credits. (this is why i have to be homeschooled for 9th grade)
