Best: Very hard, but I think Shaun of the Dead wins for me for adding comedy to a great zombie story.

Worst: Although some horrible movies come to mind, I was thoroughly upset with Land of the Dead. That movie was just stupid.

XD LOTD is universally hated from what I've heard over the years.

I didn't think it was that bad.

Night of the Living Dead is great. I can't help but want to say "CANDYMAN" 5 times after watching it though.

I may change my Worst Zombie film from Land of the Dead to RE3. That movie was painful to watch. And I'll probably watch the new one sometime. Not sure why I do that.

It had John Leguizamo in it. And a "Learning Zombie". Lame.

I'm so glad this topic came back up because I just watched LOTD this weekend and was wondering why people didin't like it.

The learning aspect is a continuation of the theories explored in Day Of The Dead (1985) so it was the next logical step in the Romero zombieverse.

It was just cheesy. Plus the story was horrible.

I think they could have done the learning zombie thing much differently to make it better.

I think the learning thing was done better in LOTD thatn DOTD.

DOTD had a doctor that was "teaching" a zombie how to be normal which was kind of hokey. All of Romero's flicks past Night have always had cheesy elements to them so it was par for the course.

I liked the idea of a closed off city that was zombie free, it said alot about the approach they took towards the zombie apocalypse. While not as heavy on the social commentary as Dawn or Day was it was still ok when compared to others in the franchise.

Plus it has Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright as zombies!!

I watched a few zombie movies over the weekend.

Dawn Of The Dead remake - Awesome of course, if you guys haven't seen the director's cut then do so. Also, Sarah Polley is so cute. So un-Hollywood that she's gorgeous.

Land Of The Dead- I've already commented on this one a bit a few posts up.

Day Of The Dead- Classic, please check this out if you haven't.
