You should probably add spoiler warnings, just in case somebody hasn't seen the movie. And I LOVE those movies, haven't seen them in a while though.

Yeah, they're really great films. It must have been a director's nightmare trying to organize such a huge project (14 hours of film in a fantasy setting--good luck). It irritates me when people think they're simply "action" movies with little substance, because the truth is they're pretty phenomenal, and are more epic than any trilogy that comes to mind.

Yah you really could not do any more than 1 per day with the extended versions being 3 to 4 hours long.

I really wish they still sold the extended versions but at least I get all 3 movies on dvd for $14 on black friday.
