I'm doing a second runthrough of the game, and I picked soldier. I read the Assault Rifle description, and it's something along the lines of "Effective against everything" when you read it. I'm getting all hyped to use it (last playthrough as infiltrator), then I shoot a full-clip into an enemy, and it survives. xD Buzzkill moment of the day.

Use the semi-auto battle rifle. that thing is fucking BOSS.

and its semi dependent on the ammo.

I use that 3 shot burst one. Almost fully upgraded with inferno ammo. Fucks shit up.

Yeah, the semi-auto is a beast. I can't remember what it's called, though.
The Avenger sucks. The Vindicator is alright. The collector ship assault rifle is supposed to be good, but I never played as a soldier that far through the game. It got boring compared to the other classes.

	Besides, if you've got the Semi-auto, you can get the Widowmaker or the Claymore instead, both of which are super-fun OSK guns.

I love the Mattock. It's worth the 160 MS on its own.

I beat through the game once already as Infiltrator I got the Widowmaker on that playthrough; that thing was awesome. I've been gone camping though, so I have to finish my playthrough later today/tomorrow sometime.

Yeah. The Semi Auto kicks ass. You wanna know my favorite part about it? No cap. I can tear through enemies so damn fast. And the Widower makes me jizz every time.
